Job Description
The Utilities Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating all utility services for our client properties. Coordinators will be responsible for communicating and dispatching vendors to properties, communicating with our clients, communicating with utility companies, and ensuring all client deadlines and quality standards are met.
The coordinator will have multiple lines of communications between clients, utility companies and vendors. Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of urgency and follow through are essential to this position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Activate electric, water, gas services at vacant homes on behalf of our clients via phone calls, emails, fax, and web pages.
- Review for available photos and request client feedback regarding condition of the asset and/or safety for utility activation
- Able to multitask phone calls/wait times while completing research often utilizing different resources.
- Ability to document property records with thorough and accurate information (via notes and supporting documents) to substantiate completion of a service within a required timeline.
- Review utility bills for usage periods, solving problems and contacting utility companies for discrepancies.
- Properly allocating monies and understanding the difference between paying a utility company vs billing our client for charges.
- Responsible for improving customer satisfaction through adhering to timeline and quality standards
- Continually maintain working knowledge of all company services
- Utilizing internal software systems and Microsoft Office productivity software for workload management
- Responsible for communicating with clients in a courteous and professional way
- Performs other duties as assigned
