Machine Operator

Job Description

Elite Staffing is hiring for a manufacturing client in the Lakeland area who is looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator 1. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC mills / lathes and be capable of producing accurate, high-quality parts in a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.

Operate CNC mills and lathes used in production, as per orders of the manager.  The manager will be responsible for adjusting machine settings to properly fulfill the production orders needed.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Operate machinery to produce items as instructed by the manager.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Ability to measure in US Customary units as well as metric.
• Ability to read calipers and tape measurers.
• Responsible for inspecting quality of manufactured items.  
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs). 
• Operate forklift(s). 
• Instruct production manager when machines are in need of repair. 
• Clean and maintain work area. 
• Perform backup for warehouse or other departments, when necessary.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years experience 
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs.
