Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in sheet metal fabrication and assembly, with a proven ability to interpret technical documentation and work independently or as part of a team. This role requires precision, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate results.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to understand project requirements and fabrication standards.
  • Material Preparation:
Measure, mark, and lay out materials according to design specifications using a variety of tools including tape measures, calipers, squares, and levels to ensure accuracy.
  • Fabrication and Assembly:
Cut, bend, shape, notch, and form sheet metal parts using equipment such as press brakes, shears, notchers, rollers, and hand or power tools.
  • Machinery Operation:
Set up and operate fabrication machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all safety protocols and quality standards are met.
  • Finishing Work:
Perform grinding, deburring, and finishing work to meet precise dimensions and surface requirements.
  • Quality Control:
Inspect completed parts and assemblies for accuracy, fit, and finish. Make adjustments as needed to maintain high-quality workmanship.
  • Team Collaboration:
Communicate and collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other fabricators to resolve design or fabrication challenges and improve production processes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication and assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Technical Skills:
Proficient in the use of fabrication tools and equipment, including rivet guns, grinders, and other hand and power tools.
  • Blueprint Literacy:
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical documents.
  • Attention to Detail:
Demonstrated ability to produce precise, high-quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Safety-Conscious:
Knowledge of and adherence to workplace safety standards and best practices.
