Job Description
- Identify trauma patients for registry inclusion
- Abstract trauma data from medical records, including ICD-10 diagnoses, procedures, AIS, and ISS
- Enter, validate, and audit trauma registry data
- Calculate Injury Severity Scores (ISS)
- Generate trauma reports and assist with Trauma Committee preparation
- Identify performance improvement (PI) opportunities
- Maintain confidentiality and data integrity
- Perform clerical and administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
3–5 years of Trauma Registry experience
2+ years of ICD-10-CM and AIS coding experience
Able to work independently with no training
Typing speed of 20 WPM minimum
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
