Someone with little/some knowledge & experience, perhaps not in all related fields to facility maintenance will be considered. Must have desire to learn & grow.

Job Description:
  • Equipment preventative maintenance
  • Equipment set-up and changeovers
  • Equipment & machinery troubleshooting and repair
  • Assist with equipment calibrations as required
  • Facility Inspections, maintenance & repairs, including routine testing/maintenance of all facility safety/suppression systems, ensuring compliance
  • Fabrication of Production/R&D test components/support fixtures
  • Responding promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies or any troubleshooting issues to implement effective solutions in a timely manner

Skills: 
  • Basic plumbing
    Fixing leaks, toilets, faucets, irrigation heads
    Clearing minor clogs (and knowing when not to)
  • Basic electrical
    Replacing outlets, switches, breakers
    Light fixtures, GFCIs, pool timers
    Understanding safety (huge)
  • General carpentry
    Doors, screens, trim, cabinets
    Deck and stair repairs
    Fence and railing fixes
  • Drywall & paint
    Patching holes, water damage

    Florida-Specific Skills 
  • Hurricane prep & recovery
    Shutters, tie-downs, debris cleanup
    Quick post-storm damage assessments
  • Mold & moisture awareness
    Knows how to spot early signs
    Understands ventilation and humidity control
  • Irrigation systems
    Sprinkler heads, timers, zone issues
    Sandy soil + water restrictions knowledge
  • Pool & spa basics (even if not certified) Filters, pumps, timers
    Spotting safety issues before they become big problem

 Grounds & Outdoor Maintenance
 
  • Light landscaping skills
  • Tree and palm debris cleanup (after storms)
  • Dock / shoreline awareness (if applicable)
  • Familiar with Florida pests (ants, wasps, termites, rodents)

Not required, but gold if you find them:
  • HVAC experience (even basic)
  • Pool Operator (CPO) certification
  • Previous HOA / resort / mobile home park experience
  • Basic computer or work-order app familiarity
  • Florida driver’s license & clean record


Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Similar work experience is strongly preferred
  • Detail oriented & must possess the aptitude for excellent problem-solving, reasoning & common-sense skills
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Basic working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC & other mechanical systems
