Job Title: Front Office Medical Receptionist
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00AM- 5:00PM
Location: Englewood
Pay rate: $17-18$, per hour, paid weekly
Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, personable, and detail-oriented Front Office Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. This role is critical in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring efficient front office operations. What You’ll Do
- Welcome patients with professionalism and manage check-in/check-out processes efficiently
- Answer and direct incoming calls, schedule appointments, and relay accurate messages
- Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information for billing accuracy
- Maintain patient flow by coordinating with providers and clinical staff
- Oversee and maintain a clean, organized, and patient-friendly waiting area
- Monitor and respond to emails, tasks, and internal communications daily
- Collect co-pays and outstanding balances; reconcile and submit end-of-day reports
- Process incoming and outgoing medical records in a timely and compliant manner
- Scan, barcode, and upload documentation into electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Provide administrative support and assist with additional office duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in a medical front office or similar administrative role
- Strong understanding of medical scheduling, patient relations, and billing processes
- Knowledge of insurance verification, medical coding, and reimbursement practices is a plus
- Experience with Athena (or similar EMR systems) preferred; training available
