Job Description:
A machine operator will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing wire mesh, chicken coop cages, or similar products. They are responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production machinery, performing quality checks, and maintaining a steady workflow, often while standing for long periods.
Key responsibilities typically include:
- Machine Setup and Operation: Configuring machines (such as presses) to produce specific, high-quality products
- Production Monitoring: Observing machinery to ensure it works to its full capability and making adjustments
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Performing routine inspections to identify wear and tear and performing minor maintenance on machines
- Safety and Quality Control: Adhering to strict safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and inspecting finished parts for quality
- Physical Activity: The job often requires standing for long periods and handling materials in a fast-paced, non-air-conditioned environment
