Manufacturing & Fabrication Coordinator

Location: Bradenton, FL

Position Summary

The Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by coordinating work order processing, managing parts room activities, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout production and aftermarket fulfillment processes. This position collaborates closely with Engineering, Sales, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams to maintain inventory accuracy, support customer order fulfillment, and drive on-time delivery performance.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in manufacturing, inventory management, shipping, and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Work Order Management

  • Review, process, and release Make-to-Stock and Project work orders.
  • Verify bill of materials (BOMs), routing operations, and finishing requirements for accuracy.
  • Monitor production and aftermarket sales order work orders to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate assembly scheduling for aftermarket orders with production leadership.

Inventory & Material Control

  • Perform routine cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor and update inventory replenishment levels, including min/max quantities.
  • Pick, stage, and distribute materials for production builds and customer orders.
  • Support inventory integrity through accurate ERP transactions and documentation.

Shipping & Logistics

  • Coordinate machine cleaning, skidding, loading, and shipment preparation.
  • Schedule freight carriers and prepare shipping documentation.
  • Ensure products are packaged and shipped safely to prevent transit damage.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of shipping supplies and materials.

ERP & Purchasing Support

  • Assist Purchasing with BOM releases and planning workflow activities.
  • Maintain accurate data within NetSuite and support ERP testing and process improvements.
  • Participate in sales order and production meetings, providing updates on order status and fulfillment timelines.

Facility & Safety Support

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and materials handling area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or material handling environment.
  • Experience operating forklifts or ability to become forklift certified.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of freight carrier procedures, shipping documentation, and packaging best practices.
