Job Summary

The Administrative Clerk provides general clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient office operations. This role is responsible for handling routine administrative tasks, maintaining records, and assisting staff and the public with inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

This position involves repetitive administrative work that requires accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail. Successful candidates will be dependable, professional, and committed to maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems
  • Process and maintain official records and documents
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and direct inquiries to appropriate personnel
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal staff and members of the public
  • Process forms, applications, and documentation according to established procedures
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and maintain calendars as needed
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Maintain confidentiality and properly handle sensitive information
  • Assist with office supply inventory and ordering
  • Support daily office operations and administrative functions
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and departmental guidelines
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Previous administrative, clerical, customer service, or office experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to established processes
