We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and be proficient in the use of various tools and equipment. This role involves working with precision instruments to create high-quality parts and components, ensuring that all specifications and tolerances are met. The Manual Machinist will play a crucial role in our production process, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of our operations.

Duties
- Set up and operate manual milling machines and lathes to machine parts to specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to determine machining processes.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accuracy.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including lubrication and adjustments.
- Work with a variety of metals, including steel, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel.
- Ensure quality control throughout the machining process, making necessary adjustments to maintain tolerances.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in machining with a strong understanding of manual machining techniques.
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and tolerances.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing technologies within the industry.
